It’s hard to be a servant when you were a leader. And it’s difficult to model servant-leadership when you’re already a servant. 
But how to be a servant? It is to strive to be not to be the leader. After all, nothing is bad for not being a leader but rather aim to be "a good and faithful servant." In the end, you will no longer struggle on how to be humble but to desire more of God’s promise to be happy as Jesus said, “Happy are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised.” (Good News Translation)

They are all connected. What makes the present secure enough is when the past and future are strongly holding it. The question is, how does the future hold the present?
